Thinking about the chicken satay at Chomp Chomp or Newton Food Centre but you don't really feel like smelling like smoke? We've got this simple yet tasty chicken satay recipe for you! This recipe requires only 2 ingredients (and satay sticks, duh!), and can be done effortlessly in the comfort of your own home.
This, obviously, will never compare with the satay we can purchase from the various hawker centres around the island, but it's a simple alternative that might just satisfy your satay cravings!
- 1kg boneless GG French Poulet leg
- 50g Anthony the Spice Maker's chicken satay marinade
- 2tbsp vegetable oil
Cut up the boneless GG French Poulet legs into bite-sized cubes and place them in a bowl
Scoop out 50g of the chicken satay marinade and combine with the chicken cubes
Using your hands, get in and mix in the marinade, ensuring that every piece of chicken is coated with the satay marinade
Cover the bowl and leave the marinated chicken in the fridge for at least 4 hours
Here comes the fun part, thread 3 to 4 chicken cubes onto the wooden skewers
Brush the oil on the skewers
Using a flat pan, heat up the oil and grill the satay for 2-3 minutes on each side, until the meat is fully cooked and the satay has a nice char on the outside.
Serve with freshly cut cucumbers and red onions
All of the ingredients listed are available in our butcher shop located at #01-47, 2 Jalan Lokam, Kensington Square, S537846, alongside a selected range of our organic GG French Poulet.
